Welcome April as our MC for the Gold Key Awards this year.
April Zesbaugh has been with 850 KOA’s Colorado’s Morning News since 1996. In those 16 years, she has interviewed countless authors, musicians, actors, athletes, politicians and newsmakers. She’s traveled across Colorado and the U.S. to bring home the news.
April is a 2009 recipient of the highly coveted, national Edward R. Murrow Award. She also won two regional Murrow awards. She has been a featured TV news analyst on MSNBC and CNN. In 2003, April was the winner of the “Women of Achievement” award from the Association of Women in Communications. Colorado's Morning News has repeatedly been recognized by the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association as the best news/entertainment show, and April has received numerous Best Newscaster awards from the CBA and Associated Press. You’ll also frequently see April hosting community events.
April was born and raised in Mesa, Ariz., and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with degrees in broadcast journalism and English.
