Building professional relationships through the power of authentic communication

Whether you’re mingling at a conference or BMA event, having a phone conversation with a prospective client or making a critical sales presentation, how you communicate will ultimately determine the outcome.

Could you use some ideas that transcend the innocuous “what do you do” networking query? Want some tips on how to create stronger, more personal relationships?

Then sign up now for our December 8th Keynote event. Kristin Salada, Principal & Team Coach of New Angle Consulting, LLC, will guide us through the art and science of “Conversations That Matter”.

You never stop learning

Life’s lessons don’t end with college graduation. If there’s one skill that needs continual honing, it’s one-on-one communication. Join your marketing colleagues and take another step along the learning curve. Here’s a sample of what you can add to your educational library:

  • Simple but rarely used methods for strengthening your current working relationships.
  • Techniques for transitioning a conversation to a follow-up meeting.
  • What listening really “sounds” like.
  • Communication tools you can use in personal or business settings.

Kristin will share real life stories and examples of both powerful communication and forgettable ways of interacting. You can try out some of the ideas at the event and, more importantly, take an enhanced communication toolkit with you everywhere you go.
Don’t stop learning. Join us for an interactive, educational, and fun program!

Note: We’ll be joined by some other terrific marketing folks. Come help us welcome those from the DU Marketing Roundtable and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

Young Professionals: Young Professionals (10 years or less in the industry) will be invited to join in the regular BMA event but to wear an "ugly sweater" to call out their status as a YP, and to bring a donation of a winter coat, hat or gloves that will be collected and provided to Urban Peak, a non-profit benefitting homeless teens. After the BMA event YP's will adjourn to Jordan's, a nearby pub.

Don't be a grinch! Everyone is asked to help the BMA YP Group support Urban Peak. Bring a donation of socks, gloves, or a hat to help a teen in need. The YPs will have a collection box at this event.
