What is the BMA Colorado Young Professionals Group?
The BMA Colorado Young Professionals group is a sub-group in the BMA geared toward professionals age 35 and under who are college graduates and looking to further their marketing careers.

Though many of our young professionals are BMA Colorado members, we encourage young marketers who are not BMA members to attend our events and get to know the benefits of this well-respected organization.

BMA Colorado has been voted the Number One Chapter of BMA National for 13 of the past 15 years, and has over 400 members in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. Monthly Events & Networking
Every month the BMA Colorado Young Professionals group gets together through meet-ups and educational workshops. These events give our group of young marketers the ability to network, learn about new topics in marketing, and how to grow in their career. We welcome both BMA Colorado members and non-members to all of our events. Our group has two basic types of events, as well as a few annual events.
  1. Meet-ups:  group networking with peers in a casual atmosphere, usually at a bar or restaurant.
  2. Cocktails & Conversations:  educational workshops at a local agency, corporate venue or restaurant where young professionals are able to talk with mid to upper management in an intimate setting. This usually starts with a basic group introduction and then the group splits up in small discussion groups, each dispersing to a different conversation leader.

Building the Future
As a young professional, we have the duty of building a great future for our young professional group members.  Our dedicated BMA Colorado Young Professionals Leadership Committee coordinates events that are both networking and educational to young marketers in Denver. A time commitment of 1-2 hours per week or 4-8 hours per month is required for the entire BMA fiscal year, which begins in June.

If you are part of the committee, tasks include:
  • Event planning
  • Event promotion
  • Social media strategy and execution through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Tumblr
  • Writing online communication for blogs, emails, website and social channels
  • Maintaining a blog
  • Membership and recruitement
  • Team and committee communication
  • Vendor communication and management
