YP's 2nd Annual Spring Fling Gala

Join us for the 2nd annual Spring Fling Gala!

We will be having this years event at Coohills, a premier downtown Denver French restaurant that focuses on fresh ingredients from local Colorado farmers. With free parking for attendees, views of the mountains, marketing wisdom, and great food, this will be a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and kick off a night downtown.

A moderated panel of marketers will be disscussing what they wish they knew when they were young and other very interesting topics.

We will also be serving food and drinks.

Christine Cook, PRC
President & CEO (Chief Experience Officer), INGATHER Research

Christine Cook is the CEO of INGATHER. She is the driving force and creative innovator or as many say “generator” of INGATHER’s unique position on in-context research.

Having a love of numbers and statistics, Christine’s initial background was accounting. Since then she has schooled in Behavioral Science, Moderating, Quantitative Research and even Floral Design. Prior to owning a facility, Christine conducted research for many clients including Coors, Boston Market, Sony, Frontier Airlines, Cox Broadcasting (Radio, TV and Entertainment) and many others. She has a great love of marketing, branding, and research and can tell an amazing story through sensory findings and both creative quantitative and qualitative techniques.

Christine has 25 years of research experience, has spoken at many industry events and holds awards too plenty to name them all. If asked she will tell you that her pride and joy is the CEBA (Colorado Ethics in Business Award). She will also share that INGATHER is currently a finalist in the Top Colorado Companies to Watch and her life goal is to be named one of the Top 50 Philanthropists in Denver. Christine is a Past President of AMA Colorado, MRA and has sat on the board of BMA and other industry associations.

Marcus Durante
VP of Business Development

Before moving to Denver in 2000, Marcus graduated with a BS in Business Communications from the University of Kansas.  After a few years of getting his feet lanted in Colorado, he spent several years in the franchise industry as a sales and marketing professional for large national franchise organizations.  With a downturn in the economy in 2009, Marcus found himself looking for an industry change.

After then spending nearly 5 years with an Englewood-based large format print company as the VP of Sales and Marketing, Marcus accepted a Vice President position with Toast & Jam, a national well established experiential marketing and brand activation firm.  With clients ranging from Google and Youtube, to DIA and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Marcus finds himself marketing and selling services that span the non-traditional marketing industry.

Always looking to develop new relationships, Marcus has been involved with the Colorado BMA for several years.  As a long time sales and marketing professional on the front range, Marcus finds the eduacational aspects of the BMA as a way to expand his marketing background and continue to grow with the ever changing landscape that is experiential marketing.

Shawna Landers
AVP, Digital Marketing, Great West Financial

Shawna grew up in the Denver area graduating with a degree in Marketing from Colorado State University and worked her way up into marketing leadership positions at several major organizations in the Denver market.
 
She’s led traditional marketing efforts for Leprino Foods and moved into the digital space running online marketing and strategic efforts for Western Union, Budget Truck Rental, MapQuest, and Webroot.  She’s currently the AVP of Digital Marketing at Great-West Financial.
 
Shawna’s  background is broad and  includes integrated marketing efforts involving creative, strategic planning, brand marketing, online media, search engine marketing, PR, email, promotions, as well as trade show management, product marketing and research.  She’s also led website development, content, analytics, UI/UX and overall web project management.

Creative Director & Inbound Marketer

Design is not fine art, it's problem solving and I focus on solving the problems of business. From my own experience I have an appreciation for the determination and effort required to make a business successful. It's an integral part of the work I do. I never forget that my job is to create a positive business result, to help my clients grow and be a catalyst for their success. I do that through smart design and inbound marketing.

Robert Clasen
Former CEO of Starz, Daniels Executive in Residence

Robert B. Clasen has been a Media and Entertainment Executive until his retirement in 2010. During his forty-year career, he has served in a variety of senior positions in the cable television, telecommunications, and New Media industries. Since his retirement as CEO for Starz, LLC,  he now serves as Chairman of the Colorado Creative Industries Council, a member of the Denver Film Society Capital Campaign and an Executive in Residence at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
