How great leaders inspire everyone to take action

There are leaders and there are those who lead. Leaders hold a position of power or influence. Those who lead, inspire us. The February 9th BMA Colorado keynote lunch is for anyone who wants to inspire others to take action . . . to engage, buy, donate or work hard.

Simon Sinek - To inspire othersSimon Sinek presents an unconventional perspective that explains how and why you should start with Why. His presentations and book of the same name have earned him invitations to meet with leaders and organizations all over the world.

People don’t buy what you do, they buy Why you do it

All organizations function on three levels: What you do, How you do it, and Why you do it. What you do is the tangible result. How you do it is the action you take to deliver the result. The Why is your purpose, cause or belief.
Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more successful, and command greater loyalty from customers and employees? Most importantly, how are they able to repeat their success over and over?

Those who know and communicate why they do what they do are the individuals and companies who rise above all others.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll learn from Simon:

  • The Why, how and what teachings of “The Golden Circle”
  • How the concept is grounded in biology - not psychology
  • Successes and failures based on the Law of Diffusion of Innovation
  • Examples from Apple, Martin Luther King, and the Wright brothers
  • How, with a little discipline, anyone can learn to inspire

Because it’s based on how people think and act, this unique approach has application in big and small business, in politics and non-profits. Your personal life? Absolutely!

You’re in for a special treat

Know how some ideas resonate at a deeper, more indelible level? This is one of those ideas. It’s a powerful message; one that changes the way you think.

If you can only attend one event this winter, make sure it’s this one. Our thanks to BMA member company 90octane for their exclusive sponsorship of this event.

Note: Simon will be available to autograph copies of his book, "Start With Why" from 11:30-noon and 1:30-2:00. BMA Colorado will have a limited number of books available for purchase at the event, and attendees are welcome to bring their own copies. Attendees can pre-purchase a copy of Simon's book in advance of the event to ensure a copy. The book will be waiting for you at the event with your name on it. Click here to pre-purchase a book.

Speaker(s)

Simon Sinek
Ethnographer and Author

Simon Sinek is a trained ethnographer and author of Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action. Studying the leaders and companies that make the greatest impact in the world and achieve a lasting success, he discovered the formula that explains how they do it.

Sinek’s amazingly simple idea, “The Golden Circle”, is grounded in the biology of human decision-making. He has written or commented for local and national press and earned invitations to meet with an array of leaders and organizations, including: Microsoft, Dell, SAP, Intel, Chanel, Members of the United States Congress, multiple government agencies and entrepreneurs.

Sinek has also had the honor of presenting his philosophy to the Ambassadors of Bahrain and Iraq, and to the senior leadership of the United States Air Force. He is an adjunct staff member of the RAND Corporation, one of the most highly regarded think tanks in the world and teaches graduate level strategic communications at Columbia University.
